Within easy reach are towns such as Puerto Lumbreras with its many stores and supermarkets, Lorca with its historic old town and castle and many independent stores, and Cartagena which is rich in history and offers many visitor attractions. The coastal town of Aguilas with its weekly markets and beautiful beaches and secluded coves is well worth a visit. And just over the border you are in Almeria and San Juan de los Terreros, a well-known destination among visitors to this region, and Mojacar Playa a little further down the coast is certainly worth a day trip.
