Positive: If I had seen this property “live”, i would not have rented it as this was not my style and not what I was looking for but I can imagine others who like such style might be happy with this property. I liked the bbq outside area and palm trees, the pool was good for our kid, bathroom downstairs was comfortable, internet worked very well, lots of kitchen appliances. I cannot say anything about the host as we have not had any interactions with the host, the key is collected contactless and communication was anonymous

Negative: The house looked different than the impression I had from the pictures. This is an old building, furnished in traditional style, a living room had no windows except of partially-glass front door, a kitchen is a seperate room with no windows, it’s dark during the day when the light is off. An interconnecting room where the stairs are shown on pic to the 1 st floor is the same. I get it that this is to keep the house cool, but as said not what I looked for. You do not get the entire house rented, it is part of the house which is rented, meaning inside there were several doors locked with a sign “private”. The top windows you see on the pics of the house front are “private” ones. AC is only in 1 bedroom upstairs, there are fans in 2 other bedrooms and a living room. An instruction of several pages of “do’s and dont’s” was sent in written - on trash segregation and a “price list” how much would be deducted from our deposit if we misbehave e.g: by not empting inside trash bins before our departure - which did not give a friendly feeling. Deposit is required to be paid 7 days before the arrival, which feels early. I got it back on my credit card 5 days after the return. Take all the little things with you as they are not provided - like salt, pepper, oil, sponge for a kitchen, paper towels, dishwasher tablets (we got 2 for 10-night stay), washing machine liquids/powder. The only such things provided was a bit of coal for bbq and coffee machine filters.
