It has always been characterized as a town of contrasts, for its beauty and tranquility, with a wide variety of charming corners. There are many possibilities for the visitor: tasting of local products, walks through the streets of the old town, which has recently been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, where the traveller can discover an austere but unique historical and artistic site. Places such as the Parish Church of San Miguel Arcángel (built in 1796), the Casa Museo El Capitán (Los Alfonso's residence at the end of the 19th century), the Municipal Library (first seat of the Town Hall), the Birthplace of Juan Bethencourt (doctor, historian, anthropologist, ethnographer, teacher and journalist born in San Miguel in 1847), the Casa Azul (current seat of the Town Hall) or the Casa Cuatro Esquinas (current Tourist Office) are essential visits in our municipality. Moreover, due to its privileged geographical location, Costa San Miguel is an ideal place for the practice of a wide range of open air activities.
