The space was formerly a farmhouse and has been sympathetically modernized as a holiday home. At 1,000 meters high, the terraces offer views of the surrounding countryside, the gorge, the Terradets lake and the Montsec mountain range.
All linen and towels are provided. In the winter months there are radiators in all bedrooms and the living room is also heated by a wood burning stove. In the winter months there is a supplement of €50 per day for oil consumption. There are A/C machines for the summer.

It also has 3 large bathrooms with shower, toilet and one with hydromassage bath and sauna.
The large terrace offers an exceptional view of the surrounding countryside and an outdoor jacuzzi bath which is used in the summer.
Well-equipped kitchen with 4-burner stove and oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. The kitchen has a good variety of crockery, glasses and pans, plates and utensils for serving. There is a washing machine available in one of the bathrooms.
The spacious living room has access to a private terrace with an exceptional view over the surrounding countryside. There is a large flat screen TV with DVD player. The owner has some DVDs to borrow. There is no free broadband Wi-Fi. A music player is available and outside there is also a barbecue (not shown in the pictures).
Access for guests
Estorm is 5 km from the main road and is reached by a paved country road that goes up to the village. The car park is at the entrance to the town. Then there is a 25m journey along a track, but now it is a wide street and cars can reach the very entrance of the house if they need to carry heavy luggage. The owner will be available to give help and advice at any time.
Guests rent the entire house and have independent access. It is not originally suitable for wheelchair access, but there is a double bedroom and a full bathroom on the lower floor which is just two small steps from the street to access the property. The kitchen, dining room and living room are also downstairs. As well as the barbecue area and the garden.
Interaction with guests
The owner or helper will be available to give advice on areas to visit, walk, climb, etc. They live in the house adjacent to the accommodation. The owner and helper will strive to provide friendly service so that guests can fully appreciate their stay in this amazing area.
The neighbourhood
The location of Cal Foraster offers the opportunity to see the impressive rock formations near the house and the surrounding area, such as the Mont-Rebei Gorge, or observe the night sky (certified Starlight Reserve by UNESCO).
It is exceptional for the mountain views it offers and the diversity of lake landscapes. There are several fabulous routes from the house itself for which maps and information are provided. There are many outdoor activities in the region, including climbing, hiking, swimming in the nearby lake, canoeing, rafting and mountain biking. The High Pyrenees is about 45 minutes away if you want to experience the alpine landscape.
Another must visit is the Castell del Mur. Due to its architecture and state of conservation, it is a landmark of the border castles of the Catalan regions. The region is a wildlife paradise with a wide variety of birds, wild flowers and butterflies.

Smoking is not allowed in the entire space of the accommodation. Pets are not allowed. The owner asks that guests behave themselves and respect the property they are renting.
