All this in a pleasant setting with views of the Vigo estuary even from some areas of the interior.

The Real Club Náutico de Vigo is only 10 minutes away on foot, where you can also take the boat to Cangas or to the Cíes Islands, named by the British newspaper The Guardian as one of the 10 best beaches in the world. On the way to the port, you can stop at the famous Mercado de la Piedra and have their specialty, oysters.
To fully enjoy the city and its surroundings you don't need a car, as there are good bus, boat and train connections. Most bus lines stop at the Puerta del Sol next to the tourist office, a 5 min walk away, including the one that goes directly to the airport (about 2 euros the ticket compared to 20 euros for a cab). By train, you can easily reach the centers of Pontevedra, Santiago, La Coruña and Orense for the day.
