3 Bedroom Villa in Guime

La Veranda is a spacious three bedroomed traditional Canarian Finca that used to be the village bakery and has been extended and restored whilst keeping many original features. La Veranda is centrally situated in the village of Guime which is approximately ten minutes by car from Arrecife airport. The living accommodation comprising a large farmhouse kitchen and spacious lounge are on the first floor. The lounge leads out on to the veranda where there is a further secluded dining area. The master bedroom with en-suite and a double room and twin room share a character bathroom are on the ground floor and lead directly out to the pool area. The electrically heated pool and terraced area is surrounded by a high wall which offers a high degree of privacy. There is parking for two cars immediately to the side of the villa. Wi-fi available.
Whilst we always recommend car hire there is a bus service running through the village. There is also a mini market which sells most everyday provisions and a Tapas bar.
Please note that we keep the same rate throughout the year. £574 per week (£82per night) for two people.There will be a £50 per person per week supplement for 3-6 guests.

Summary: This was our second stay at Villa veranda in Guime. It is a short 10 minute drive from the airport, yet the air traffic is not directly over the village, so the area is quiet. The property is a quirky home, based on the foundations of the old village bakery, reputed to be the oldest building in the village. The home is of a traditional white walled build, on the lower level are the bedrooms which lead out to the pool area. Upstairs is a large living area with an outside veranda, perfect for sitting out in the evening with a cool drink. The kitchen is again large and fully equipped. The pool, behind a high wall giving total privacy, is well maintained, cleaned and checked twice a week and heated all year to a perfect 28c. Loungers and cushions are provided for 6 people with a table and chairs by the pool in the shade of a couple of palm trees When we visited this year, some improvements are in process with new modern windows and doors to the main bedroom, which whilst replacing the wood doors, still maintain its character. The House may be unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues as there a number of stairs from the upper portion of the house to the pool and bedroom area, though their is a side entrance with only six steps when bringing luggage in. The off road parking area will accommodate 2 cars, which again leads either to the side gate or up a number of steps to the front door. All the major supermarkets are within 10 mins from the house, with Arricife only 15 mins away. The homes location is perfect to access the excellent and smooth road networks to all points of the island. Communication with the owner is excellent and the local house representatives are always on call if a problem arises. Another enjoyable stay in Lanzarote with no issues or problems.
