Summary: Cortijo Los Mármoles is a beautifully maintained villa nestled in the hills of Andalusia. The cortijo is looked after by Juan and his wife Carme and they've clearly put their heart and soul into it. The cortijo itself sleeps 6 comfortably (a room with one double bed, and 2 other rooms with 2 single beds in each) but my partner and I decided to just go ourselves. And it was a treat. There is a beautiful pool just a few feet away from the house which is probably about 5 metres across and 10 to 15 metres long. Plenty big enough for a good swim or cool down every day. With a number of sunloungers dotted around to soak up the southern sun. The cortijo itself has everything you need inside. And has a BBQ outside, which we used every day. The road/track to get to the house off the A339 is very rough, but our little Fiat 500 handled it ok. The location is a blessing to those who want some isolation. The nearest town or village is miles away (Carcabuey), which means the evenings are sooo peaceful. No cars or people to be seen or heard. I will definitely be coming back. I absolutely loved it.
