The house is an old river mill rehabilitated with materials and ecological criteria in 2002. It is open-plan loft. The living area has a wood burning stove, two armchairs, dining table and TV. It has a double bed and bathroom with shower. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, two-burner hob and microwave. The mill also has an extra double bed (for reservations over two people) suitable for one or two children (the roof is low and accessed by a ladder, see photos). We place a baby cot for children under two years of age. The washing machine is shared with the other mill on the same property. Firewood included in the price.
The mill is located in the valley of the Mera river, a protected area by the Natura 2000 network, and only 2 km from the estuary of Ortigueira. It is a very quiet area, but well connected to visit the Galician Rias Altas. It is a unique home in a unique setting, with a garden next to the river which is accessed by a small footbridge. In its rehabilitation, no toxic or polluting products have been used, and ecological criteria have been applied for its insulation and thermal behavior. All this to make the stay in them more pleasant and to respect the environment. The farm is registered in a small rural village of A Ponte Noval, strategically located to know the Rías Altas: it is about 10-15 km. of Cedeira, Cariño and Ortigueira and of numerous little crowded beaches.
